About

Time spent becomes ground held — and other players don't take the ground you claim.

Outpost turns the places where you spend time into territory on a map. Pass through quickly and you leave a flag. Stay fifteen minutes and the tile is yours. Do that on three different days — the first day counts — and it becomes a stronghold, marked by a beam of light from the sky.

■ Staying is the requirement

This map does not reward covering distance. It rewards staying. Your regular cafe, the park you keep going back to, the street you walk every day — those become the record. Roads you merely drive through are never claimed.

■ A map at night

The map lies in darkness, and only the tiles you have been to glow. Strongholds send up pillars of light, and from far away the shape of your daily life appears as clusters of light.

■ Today's Expedition

Walk the same route and the map stops filling. Each day Outpost suggests a few new tiles nearby. It does not give you a route — which street to take is yours to decide.

■ Titles and achievements

Fill 90% of a district to become its Conqueror. Leave no tile behind to become its Sovereign. Sixteen achievements and a collection of titles to wear.

■ Easy on the battery

Outpost does not keep GPS running. It rides on the low-power location signals iOS already produces. In field testing it stayed under 1% of daily battery use.

■ Your location never leaves your phone

No account, no server. Coordinates are never uploaded, and the developer cannot see where you have been.

Filling the map is **free and unlimited.** Themes change appearance only — they never affect how fast or how far you can claim.

Version history

Every release since 1.0.

1.6.2 2026-10-07
  • Fixed today's timer resetting to zero when you stay somewhere for several days.
  • Fixed the panel under the map getting stuck halfway up the screen and shrinking the battle board.
1.6.1
  • Fixed a crash when opening the claim screen with supply close to the price.
  • The fortress rule is now stated clearly: 15 minutes on three different days, and the first day counts.
1.6.0
  • See this tile's progress below the map ("This tile 7/15 min") and the days left until a fortress.
  • Learn how to keep counting time with the app closed.
  • Your first 15-minute claim opens a supply crate (odds shown).
  • Fixes for place names in English, announcements and alerts.
1.5.0
  • New players get a Founding Permit: pick one tile you already walked through and found your first outpost at once, no supply needed.
  • A three-card intro on first launch: walk to raise flags, stay 15 minutes to conquer, conquered ground makes supply.
  • We now tell you the moment your depot fills up, and again an hour later with how much has been wasted.
  • You also hear the moment collecting would let you fund a sortie.
  • Turn notifications on or off from the supply screen. They are off by default.
  • Notices about maintenance and events can now be read inside the app.
1.4.1
  • Fixed a bug where supply never accumulated, which blocked the Quartermaster and Sortie entirely.
  • Background conquest now stays on after the app restarts.
  • Sortie stakes are paid when the match opens.
  • Quartermaster rows now say how much supply you still need.
  • Territory saves keep a backup copy.
  • Deleting your leaderboard account now removes it completely.
1.4
  • A reason to open the app, not just to walk.
  • Encircle — close a loop on foot and everything inside becomes yours.
  • Supply — forts and claimed tiles produce supply every hour. Collect before the depot overflows.
  • Quartermaster — spend supply to secure a tile you only passed through. The longer you stayed, the cheaper it is.
  • Sortie — a tile you couldn't encircle can still be taken by holding it. Stake supply, read where the enemy will walk, and place your line. Guards, marksmen and barricades each answer a different threat — and fliers ignore the path entirely.
  • League — twelve players compete on tiles newly stepped on this week. Top 3 move up, bottom 3 move down. Your territory never shrinks.
  • Crews — fixed a bug where creating a crew failed, and owners can now hand over or disband a crew.
1.3
  • Five new map themes: Moss, Amethyst, Ember, Galaxy, and Hanji.
  • Hanji is our second light theme, alongside Snowfield.
  • Themes change appearance only — they never affect how fast or how far you conquer.
1.2
  • Fixed the diagnostics screen and error messages appearing only in Korean.
  • Auto-generated nicknames are now in English too.
